I had to teach myself code. I couldn't really take a programming class till my senior year in high school, and by then I knew about 90% of the material. My brother currently in Junior High is taking a specialized club where they teach you how to program. He has a bit more support than I did. We still have a long ways to go if we want to make it a good class in grade school.
will.i.am code? Wouldn't it be fantastic if it was as sexy as his image? This campaign is a huge step towards coding being as common as reading and writing. Java in elementary school anyone? You never think about it, but programming itself has a n adoption curve – A well-bridged, well-traveled curve that's getting wider everyday.
